菱錳礦屬三方晶系，此標本展現了廣西梧州熱液礦脈中極其罕見的麥穗狀聚晶構造。晶體以極為緊密的角度重疊錯落，形成如飽滿麥穗般錯落有致的幾何線條，展現出結晶動力學在極端微環境下的極致構造美學。個體呈現溫潤飽滿的蜜桃金橘色調，晶體邊緣帶有極為細致的階梯狀生長紋與微潤光澤，微觀結構精緻無瑕，記錄了熱液系統高飽和度流體的精準沉澱。
基底由深邃藍氧化黃鐵礦，透明色螢石，磷灰石，與通透尖銳的六角柱狀石英晶簇共生而成。溫暖的金橘色麥穗菱錳簇生於冰晶般的水晶山脊之上，呈現完美的熱液多階段共生演化史。
在廣西梧州礦區的所有結晶形態中，麥穗狀菱錳屬於極度罕見的成礦偶然產物，目前全球產出僅有寥寥數顆。
